- 1 Medium bag of diced clams
- 2-3 Cups Flour
- 1 large diced onion
- 3 Teaspoons baking powder or you can use 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup Cooking Oil
Mix flour and the clam juice in a bit of water to make a thick enough batter; not too thick or too watery.
Add in the baking powder or if you’re using eggs, add them into the batter.
Add the diced onions and mix them in good with the batter.
Use a large frying pan and put the oil in the pan.
Have your burner on 41/2 or 5; not too hot.
Use a serving spoon to add the batter in the pan
Keep them in patties, not too thick, so the inside can cook
You can place 3 to 4 patties at a time.
Be very careful, it will splatter a bit when you add the batter in the pan and when flipping them over.
Keep checking the patties until they are a nice golden color.
When they are golden, flip them over by using a long handle fork and an egg flipper.
