Fried Sunchokes
Ingredients
- 6-8 sunchoke tubers
- 2 Tablespoons butter
Directions
Peel the sunchokes.
Cut them in slices.
Boil some water.
Add sunchokes and boil for 3-4 minutes.
Drain sunchokes.
Heat butter in a pan.
Add sunchokes to the pan and fry until cooked.
We decided to grow these in our garden two years ago. They grew quite well in poor soil and we got a lot of them. They tasted very nice – the only downside is that made us very gassy!!!! I think you might have to eat a lot of them to build up a tolerance. It’s definitely worth a try though.
